Energy Saving Fair

Did you know that you can come to Oxford Citizens Advice for advice on energy?

Whether you’re struggling to pay your fuel bills, or just want to make sure your home is energy efficient, we can help.  On Sunday 26th June, a team from Citizens Advice Oxford attended the Energy Saving Fair at Oxford Town Hall. Matt, Janet, Caroline and Robin spent the day answering questions on the different ways you can come to us for advice on energy, and had a great time meeting new people.

As well as providing advice at the fair, we learnt a lot! We met Emily Green, Environmental Sustainability Officer at Oxford City Council, who told us about Sustainable Warmth Grants. These are a new source of help for people who live in Oxford and want to improve their energy efficiency. If you are an Oxford City resident and want to check if you are eligible, you can do so here on the Oxford City Council website. For other energy issues, you can find practical and easy-to-follow advice on the national Citizens Advice Website. If you have more complex energy problems, you can get in touch with our local team for advice and assistance.
