Volunteer Training

Our training programme ensures that our volunteers are up to date with any law or policy changes issued by the government, that individuals within the organisation are able to fully develop their skills and potential and latest technologies are introduced successfully.

Most volunteers start as Advice Assistant and attend an initial 4 week induction training programme, with weekly in person group training sessions alongside other Advice Assistants, and some online self-learning modules in between. After gaining some experience as an Advice Assistant, the volunteer can choose to undertake further training to become an Adviser.

We run training programs to become an Advice Assistant every other month – contact us today so we can get your application rolling.

Upcoming induction training dates for 2024

  • Tuesday 30th April (fully booked)

Volunteer Information morning

We also have another Volunteer Information morning on Wednesday 19th June. More details to follow soon.

I was unsure at first whether I would be able to advise on such a wide range of subjects, but the training I received was first class, and there is plenty of support from experienced advisers and staff. I now find it incredibly rewarding to help people, especially those who are in desperate need.
